Sometimes we fail to see things as they are and focus more on what they could be
From moonlight to daybreak our sole purpose is to truly see
The light we’ve made alongside the path to life’s focus we’ve paved
The love we’ve strayed and the life karma has made
Only to be reminded we must do it again
Are we just pawns in the universe’s subtle chess game
Life’s only purpose knows not when the past is filled with so much shame
And sacrifices of a few only leave the many with questions of who to blame…
Maybe the petals of creation seek nurture in this tryst
Maybe life seeks contentment to the materialistic worldly gifts
Do not fret we’ve all been here before
And if there is an answer
I only hope the best choices come to fruition from all that is in store.
