“The Wolves”

My dealings have been dominating my destiny

While my mind has been running in the wind

And if these thoughts grind til a million pieces

That’ll prove whose truly of wolves or mere men

They say we were born in sin

Voices tell me we were put here to win

If life tends to end in anything otherwise

It was none of right or wrong

but only one ourselves who  had decided

Must we replay the script, change the stage masked with another

and If you have to play the game this time do it like no other

Rifled in spirit yet  trifled in heart the coldness of a soul

Has never been left in the cold…funny ain’t it.

Call me crazy…until you ask why?

And if mine does return to the pleasures of the east

Matters of the least standby

Sheep left hanging we can only ‘prey’ they stand clear

Just know the wolves saw it coming

And it was that  bird’s eye view that controlled the lift and held steer

Destiny is My Bitch, Fate is such a T.h.o.t.

The Ghost Rider inside always begs to differ,

As for me I’m alright.

Even with a shadow of a glimpse we stand there mumbling and not taking enough steps to fumble what should we fear?

Never been scared to face those foes

Doubt you’ll find anyone who could tell you they ever seen me froze

Oh no…& if the heavens only reviewed our haptic mindsets and malevolent ways we’d long been casts into worldly hells of this mad society and cities turned cold

Stories of my ancestors have long been untold no wonder most of them had no possibility of ever growing old

Like gangsters moving in silence if we used that same effort to make our way to libraries we might just see ourselves gettin’ smarter or somewhere a little farther than Metro or Marta

Bringing checkers to a chess game hell yeah I said it

Next tax season come around let’s watch who forget it…

Exotic Measures: It Started Uptown

DSC_0091_01

A pantry of thoughts fulfilling to even the most sacred of one’s desires
as lustful urges burn towards your flame
Patience leaves me no choice but to hold steady
riding home on this evening train

Thoughts of you and I forever lingering in my brain
Exotic measures and its pleasure upon two souls seeking the same
Captivated by your aura here I am wondering if these pheromones are to blame
for this love stricken token making its way to play in our little crazy game

One for breakfast, 2 for lunch, a photo of what? I’d rather not say
Anticipating your reply to numerous texts I’ve sent today
Exotic measures put pressures on even the most treasured jewels
All those bedridden taboos just waiting to take place by love smitten fools

Who knew we’d come this far in such little time
I knew you’d be ready once you heard the doorbell chime
Chances we take for the chance to go further
Uptown and down, around the corner to street 69.

We Made It Through Monday

DSC_2050

If I could quickly transform these thought waves to patterns, I’d probably be somewhere orbiting next to Saturn,

or swimming in an ocean of my own free will amidst lost emotions…

contemplating my destiny next to a fork in the road of fiery notions

Here comes the Yellow Brick Road…Karma is like that sometimes

Perhaps the crossroads of my soul carry a touch to a game thats long been sold

But it ain’t no hearts I’m after…broke a few of my own,

been living life as such since the day I left home

I’d much rather bury a hatchet than a casket but sometimes we just miss the signs

flag on the play and we just get left behind

It’s Heaven we’re all after but sometimes just forget to unwind

My image may not be the same as yours but we all deserve to enjoy quality time.

High Notes of A Melodic Flow…

DSC_2403

Her melody sways with the curvature of her hips,
Embellishing the silhouette of her lips.
It’s something about that masterpiece type vibe,
Similar to the Symphony 9…she has a Melodic Flow.
Cascading thru the Jones of my bones, I can’t seem
to stay focused,
For every time she walks by… the clef notes of my heart seem to notice.
She has a Melodic Flow….let me know when you ready
for me to record.
We can play the C scale as I find your G spot,
As the rhythm of our bodies play non-stop.
Girl….you got that Melodic Flow…should I start off slow,
Or fast forward to the end, press rewind and do it
all over again.
The way her smile seems to collide with mine, as her notes keep me high.
She has a Melodic Flow…baby flow on…let me know if
I need to record.
It’s just something special when we’re both on the
same accord.

A Colorful Dreary Bunch

DSC_1284

Rain clouds frolic in the distance while thunder plays nearby.
A drizzle begins to refresh my window
every single drop from the sky
Refreshing to my parched sill,
sift upon the stage of nature’s calming tryst
A nuisance to commuters traveling but to me its all a gift
Students scattering already running late for class
Laughter on the patio as some know the storm will always pass.
Listening to birds of enchantment perhaps they still see light
The truth of this beauty is that we’ll be alright.

A Phoenix In My Mind…

DSC_1332

The shadows know little of my existence

perhaps it may be the warmth of my ashes as they fade away

Scattered I am a wind of thoughts burlesque to their resistance

Know that it is the way to keeping the enthusiast tuned

Next to wounds  in  a zest of a desert pride

Consumed in gloom those fail to see the light shining thru

for its the rise  that creates each day anew.

The Infamous Locomotive: The Little Engine that Could…grown Up

DSC_0672

Stand clear as I move past

tumbling down a long cross-tied stroll

The perception of my existence does meet the iniquities of time

While I find that those who stood before me

only succumbed to the news of this train’s glory

 Unlike many a stories

Maybe it’s the burdens to blame

For all the stamina, all the momentum

All of the sunshine, all of the rain

Squeezing all of my sunshine from the Earth

Evaporating dry skies into the rain.

The steam preps the Conductor’s vibe again

Rolling parallel to dirt roads, and trails, business districts

Grocers, farmland, until these cross ties have become old and stale.

Lost souls turned into bones hanging from live oaks where we stood

To desert heat, valleys & Smoky Mountain peaks

Please don’t let me be accused as another

that has let the brakes of fear release me

from straying others off the tracks of life

Many often struggle only because they know Not the facts of strife.

Heading behind the demise of so many

ignored of my patience they failed to see

that my ideals seemed to be just as good as any.

Making it over the hill, ’round those mountainous curves,

I push through any and all that I can

the bloodshed and callous has revered the better halves of stress

I cry in the face of karma yet smile at the faces of death

Always knew the difference between fate and destiny

Always do my best, but never let obstacles get the best of me

The Infamous Locomotive, feel the gust as I set out

Further down a path I did not expect

knowing it’s still so much I haven’t seen yet.

But of all the things…at least now I KNOW that I could…and for that

I have no regrets.
