A Colorful Dreary Bunch

DSC_1284

Rain clouds frolic in the distance while thunder plays nearby.
A drizzle begins to refresh my window
every single drop from the sky
Refreshing to my parched sill,
sift upon the stage of nature’s calming tryst
A nuisance to commuters traveling but to me its all a gift
Students scattering already running late for class
Laughter on the patio as some know the storm will always pass.
Listening to birds of enchantment perhaps they still see light
The truth of this beauty is that we’ll be alright.

PEEK-A-BOO

Pouring from within darkness daylight spills
The Universe spoke
words of love, laughter and earthly thrills
As vibration reigned from the heavens above
Grow in spirit, while the fire burns subtle and still
Sowing the seeds of inspiration & will
This is your Existence…today.

We’ll Always Be Brothers

DSC_2262

Am I not the keeper of my brother?
I learned to read from obituaries
I understand that I need not worry but for so many others… I’m concerned..
Soaking in the flames lost in a darkness we steal from ourselves here and then
Tears frozen in this cold world from the chains of hypocrisy again.
who said a king at heart could never show pain
From the depths of his soul
I feel a slight quiver from hearts of the same
A world of villains thrive while the heroes are gone… who can you blame?
although my divine attributes do sometimes tend to fail
the life I know saw passed these atrocities
while others minds still seem to be staled.
Not that I’m complaining or grown frail
there is just so much you could not guess
and if I’m not a keeper of my brother
the ideas of servitude have all gone a mess.
From dog tags lost to those fallen by the hands of another…
We’ve clearly lost focus with no attempts to get it better.
Through the storm we are still brothers.
Birthed by different but of the same Mother…Earth.
When did we stop being brothers?
I thought I could count on you and from me you can feel the same.
Instead we’re playing games…lost hugs and misdirected our love.
For what?

Busy as a…

DSC_0311

This photo is one I captured on my back patio earlier this spring. The misses had just set this orchid I bought for her out to get a little rain before a storm. I ran to grab my Nikon  to snap a pic of the little guy. Glad he hung around. The beauties of nature….Hope you like!

“Resonant Easel”

I lumbered my possessions and went for a ride today,

It was the sound of the alarm that said let’s go.

That little voice inside kept saying where to ride.

No destination in mind nor attachments at my side

Be it bus, plane, or auto…. take me by….

The sound of ocean waves cascading

in quantum patterns arcading amongst the skies.

Over the borders of a Pacific Ocean type of passion…nothing specific in my spectrum other than love and laughter.

Stamps in a passport support the thought of many terminals to pass all while entering a new chapter.

Sentiments manifest symbols of safe travels to a destination nostalgic of freedom at last,

As my needs consist of little… a window seat and cool breeze.

Sand tingling between my toes relaxed near any of the seven seas.

Skin tones absorb the hue of ancestors and other reflections in life.

All calming to the latest Budos Band, the caravan of sandals and bare feet greeting granules of miniscule fascinations.

A peaceful attraction to see these sounds reign subliminally through me.

(drumroll) “The Writers”…maybe??

So after months of procrastination and hundreds of monkey wrenches being thrown I’ve decided to start onto my first ever fiction novel.

The novel tells the story of London,  a suave lady killer.  He recaps his life from childhood barely knowing his deceased father who was adorned as a player and elite mercenary to their link in an elite society known as The Decree.  Founded during the Civil War, this organization has now gone on to become an international literary publisher. But as with most large entities, there is also a dark side to this prominent corporation.  On his journey, he aims to find out not only who his father truly was…but also who he  is. From Atlanta to Miami its a battle within himself.  Accompanied by Chakita, his loyal but spiteful partner and fling;  they may find a little more than answers….

Maybe I’ll share a few excerpts later…

Action Romance Thriller Sci-Fi Drama…???  IDK..a damn god book…how’s that..lol
